DISCOVER OUR IMPACTFUL INITIATIVES
Completed Projects 1: Deep Well Hand pumps Support(WASH)
Mayyu Rescue recently supported an internally displaced persons (IDP) community in southern Buthidaung through a rapid WASH intervention. The community had been relying on a nearly dried-up pond, forcing families to drink muddy and unclean water, which led to outbreaks of waterborne diseases such as cholera and diarrhea.
In response, Mayyu Rescue provided a deep well hand-pump and constructed a new pond to ensure sustainable access to clean drinking water. This intervention has significantly improved the health and well-being of the affected families and provided vital relief during the ongoing water crisis in Buthidaung.

Project 2: Cash Distribution (Food Security Project)
As part of its food security project, Mayyu Rescue provided emergency cash assistance to help hundreds of extremely vulnerable IDPs and resident families in selected villages of Buthidaung purchase essential food items and meet their immediate needs.

Project 3: Food Items Distribution (Food Security Project)
In response to the growing humanitarian crisis, MR launched an urgent initiative to combat hunger and starvation among those affected by armed conflict and natural disasters.
In August 2025, MR completed the second phase of its Food Security Project, providing life-saving food assistance to thousands of starving IDP & host community families in Buthidaung.
